Social Care Worker - Carlow

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting for a permanent Social Care Worker on behalf of our client, a well-established residential care provider located in Carlow area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people in a therapeutic residential setting.

Role Overview

The Social Care Worker plays a key role in supporting the day to day care, safety, and development of children and young people living in residential care.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering consistent, compassionate, and trauma informed care.

This is a shift based role including evenings, weekends, sleepovers and waking night duties to ensure 24-hour support.

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline (e.g., Social Studies, Psychology, Youth & Community Work, Social Work, Counselling, Disability Studies, Nursing, Teaching)
• Relevant experience working with children or vulnerable young people
• Experience supporting individuals with complex or challenging needs
• Understanding of trauma informed care and child development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure
• Experience in residential care settings
• Knowledge of HIQA standards
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without the need of sponsorship.
• Full clean manual driving licence (Ireland)
