Commercial Manager – Food Production

Location: Copenhagen

We are supporting a search for a Commercial Manager within a large, service-led organisation operating across Northern Europe.

This is a senior, hands-on role focused on the intersection between commercial strategy, customer relationships, and operational delivery in a complex food production environment.

The role sits just below top commercial leadership and plays a key part in ensuring that commercial agreements are operationally deliverable, financially sustainable, and aligned with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the commercial lead for a portfolio of strategic customers, building long-term partnerships and managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee menu development, pricing structures, and contract negotiations to ensure commercial and operational alignment
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure customer agreements can be delivered efficiently and profitably
  • Support the development of commercial strategies, pricing models, and contract frameworks
  • Manage complex customer discussions around scope, service levels, and cost structures
  • Balance customer requirements with operational realities, ensuring service quality and margin protection
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across production, service delivery, and commercial processes

Profile


  • Around 10+ years of commercial experience in a service-led environment
  • Background in logistics, food production, food development, or related operational industries
  • Experience as a Senior Key Account Manager, Commercial Manager, or similar role managing complex B2B customers
  • Strong exposure to contract negotiation, pricing, and commercial governance
  • Experience operating in fast-paced environments where service delivery and commercial decisions are closely linked

Additional Requirements


  • Experience working with complex operational or production environments is highly valued
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities
  • Fluent in English, Danish language skills are a bonus
