SUMMARY STATEMENT:



We're looking for a bold, creative and dynamic Product Manager to help grow our exterior woodcare brands and bring exciting new products to life.


In this role, you'll connect strategy and expertise to Pro and DIY customers, owning the full product lifecycle-from idea to launch! You'll shape the portfolio, define go-to-market strategies, and drive profitable growth through innovation with leading brands.


You won't do it alone-this is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner closely with Product Operations and Project Management to turn great ideas into successful launches.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:



  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and innovative roadmap for product segment, ensuring it aligns with the company's broader goals and market opportunities

  • Work closely with our product, insights, sales and marketing teams to shape our business strategy.

    Develop sales materials, presentations and training programs to effectively sell into each sales channel

  • Direct market research and market intelligence gathering to ensure understanding of applications, users, competition and market trends.

    Analyze and leverage data and insights to develop and formulate category and product recommendations

  • Conduct early-stage opportunity assessment, ideation and concept development for a new product opportunity from ideation to market launch

  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, business developments and market trends to identify strategic opportunities and ensure product offering is properly positioned

  • Manage product portfolios to develop and promote new products and optimize and grow existing product lines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, supply chain, and marketing to ensure alignment and successful execution of innovation initiatives.

  • Define and develop product positioning, messaging, feature specifications, unique selling propositions and pricing strategies.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.

  • Support the product commercialization process through Stage-Gate and ensure profitability within the assigned market segments

  • Create exceptional user experiences, working with our Creative department to develop visually appealing interfaces with target audience.



QUALFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, product management, sales, or marketing; preferred experience with woodcare stains, architectural paints, chemicals, or coatings

  • Pro Industry experience a plus

  • Able to explore data fast by using tools, such as Power BI or Excel

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Problem solver and creative thinker with ability to pitch new ideas and be open to feedback

  • Analytic and strategic thinking skills with ability to digest complex information and make data-driven decisions

  • Team player who will work well on cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Sales, Insights, Customer Service, etc

  • Confident public speaker with the ability to influence senior level management.

  • Demonstrated ability of working on complex assignments

  • Travel is approximately 5% annually for customer presentations, trade shows, etc


Salary Range Target: $90,000 - $110,000 bonus eligible
