Exciting Year 2 Teacher Opportunity

Teach Plus are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Margate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys supporting pupils during a crucial year of their primary education and preparing them for the transition to Key Stage 2 and secondary school.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum


• Prepare pupils effectively for their end of Key Stage 1 assessments


• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes


• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement


• Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment


• Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leadership


• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a passionate Year 2 Teacher with:

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2


• Strong classroom management and organisational skills


• Ability to inspire and support pupils' academic and personal development


• Excellent communication and collaborative skills


• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)


• Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Experience preparing pupils for Key Stage 1 assessments


• Creative approach to lesson planning and classroom activities
