Are You a Specialist Year 6 Teacher?

Teach Plus are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a specialist school in Margate supporting pupils with SEMH needs, autism, or ADHD.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Year 6 Teacher in a specialist setting, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils' needs, aligned with the National Curriculum


• Prepare pupils effectively for their end of Key Stage 2 assessments


• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic and personal outcomes


• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and social development


• Create a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership


• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and carers

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a passionate Year 6 Teacher with:

Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6


• Strong classroom management and organisational skills, particularly in SEMH or SEND contexts


• Experience working with pupils with SEMH, autism, or ADHD


• Ability to inspire and support pupils' academic and personal development


• Excellent communication and collaborative skills


• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)


• Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies for SEND pupils


• Previous experience preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 assessments
