Role Responsibilities - SEND Teacher

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND


• Develop and implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans


• Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress and attainment


• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families


• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment


• Use positive behaviour management strategies to support learning


• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEND Teacher who is committed to inclusive education.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• Experience working as a SEND Teacher or in a special education / SEN setting


• Strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiated planning, and inclusive teaching strategies


• Excellent communication and classroom management skills


• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)


• Right to work in the UK

Desirable

• Experience supporting pupils with physical disabilities or complex medical needs


• Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive education practices


• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
