We are hiring on behalf of a prestigious luxury property seeking a Sous Chef to support a high-performing culinary operation in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a culinary professional passionate about quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily kitchen operations in a high-volume scratch kitchen
- Supervise line staff and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and food cost control
- Partner with senior culinary leadership on service execution and menu standards
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and kitchen compliance standards
- Assist with training, coaching, and development of culinary team members
- Respond quickly to operational challenges during service periods
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of similar culinary leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and cost management
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, 24-hour hospitality environment
- Post-secondary culinary education preferred
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
