A growing MGA in Alderley Edge is looking for a Senior Commercial Underwriter to support the build and development of its commercial portfolio.

The role

• Underwrite cross-class commercial risks across Property, Liability and PI


• Review and price business with a focus on quality and profitability


• Support the development and scaling of new schemes and products


• Monitor portfolio performance and maintain underwriting discipline


• Work closely with senior underwriting leadership

What they're looking for

• Strong commercial underwriting experience across multiple classes


• Technically minded with attention to detail and wording knowledge


• Comfortable making underwriting decisions


• Experience within an MGA or insurer environment beneficial


• Someone who values underwriting quality over volume
