Senior Commercial Underwriter - Alderley Edge - Up to £50,000

This is a role for a commercially minded underwriter who wants more than sign-offs and volume targets.

You'll underwrite cross-class risks, contribute to scheme development, and work closely with senior leadership in an environment that values quality over quantity.

Salary: Up to £50,000
Location: Alderley Edge
Working pattern: Hybrid

What you'll be doing

• Underwriting cross-class commercial risks across Property, Liability and PI


• Reviewing and pricing business with a focus on quality and long-term profitability


• Supporting the development and scaling of new schemes and products


• Monitoring portfolio performance and maintaining underwriting discipline


• Working closely with senior underwriting leadership on strategy and direction

What they're looking for

• Strong commercial underwriting experience across multiple classes


• Technically minded - with solid attention to detail and wording knowledge


• Confident making underwriting decisions independently


• MGA or insurer background beneficial


• Someone who genuinely values underwriting quality over chasing volume
