Recycling Delivery Driver

We are recruiting for a Recycling Operative / Driver to support the delivery and maintenance of recycling containers across the local area.

This is a physical, hands-on role involving the delivery, exchange and collection of wheeled bins and recycling containers to residential and commercial properties, supporting local recycling services.

In the Recycling Delivery Driver role, you will be:

• Respond to requests for new or replacement recycling containers
• Deliver, exchange and remove wheeled bins, boxes and bags
• Load and unload containers safely onto vehicles
• Clean and prepare containers for reuse
• Dismantle damaged bins for disposal
• Travel to locations across the County Borough

To be successful, you will need:

• Understanding of recycling/environmental issues (desirable)
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Full UK driving licence

This is a full-time, temporary role working Monday to Friday, expected to run for an initial period of 12 weeks.

The position offers a pay rate of £13.05 per hour plus holiday pay.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be working outdoors and travelling across the County Borough, carrying out physical duties including manual handling and deliveries.
