Job Title: Social Care Assistant – Children’s Services (Cavan)

Job Description:

AA Euro Healthcare is currently inviting applications from both experienced Relief Social Care Workers and Social Care Assistants to join our growing team.

We are seeking suitable candidates to support our well-established client in Co.

Cavan, specialising in children’s services within social care and intellectual disability settings.

Requirements:

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare 
• CPI and/or TCI training (must be fully trained and certified, including both online and practical components)
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a social care or intellectual disability setting (preferably with children)
• Full driver’s licence is desirable
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting
• Ability to provide three written references (essential for children’s services roles)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide positive, consistent, and therapeutic support to children and young people who may present with challenging behaviours
• Work collaboratively with the Person in Charge and multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality, person-centred service
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment at all times
• Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of both service users and staff in line with organisational policies and procedures
