Mechanical Engineer

They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their R&D team, working on cutting-edge laser system design, optical engineering, and photonics product development.

The Mechanical Engineer, based in Barcelona, Spain will be responsible for the mechanical, structural, and thermal design of laser and OPO platforms, with a strong focus on long-term optical stability and industrial robustness.

The Mechanical Engineer, based in Barcelona, Spain will cover;

• Mechanical design of laser and OPO systems: system architectures and subcomponents, with emphasis on long-term stability and robustness


• 3D CAD design and detailed mechanical drawings (Preferably in Autodesk Inventor)


• Material selection with attention to thermal expansion, stiffness and long-term stability

The successful Mechanical Engineer, based in Barcelona, Spain will have a background in;

• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field


• Proven experience in mechanical system design, preferably for precision instruments, scientific equipment, or laser-based systems


• Strong understanding of thermal analysis, vibration and mechanical tolerances
