PIC Temporary Role- Wicklow

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting a Person in Charge (PIC) on behalf of a leading disability service provider based in Bray, Co.

Wicklow.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social care professional to lead a residential service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and high support needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, governance, and development of the service while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in line with HIQA standards and organisational policies.

This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract

Key Responsibilities

• Fulfil the role of Person in Charge in line with HIQA regulations
• Lead the day-to-day management of the residential service
• Ensure high-quality, person-centred care and support
• Manage staffing, supervision, performance, and development
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management practices
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and organisational policies
• Work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders
• Oversee audits, service reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage resources and service budgets effectively

Requirements

• Relevant Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Social Work, Nursing, or a related discipline
• CORU registration or eligibility for registration
• Minimum 3 years' management experience within disability or social care services
• Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and residential service management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Full clean driving licence and access to own transport
