Healthcare Assistant - North Cork

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting Relief Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our clients Day Care Centre in North Cork area. 

This is a rewarding opportunity to support older adults in a welcoming Day Care Centre that promotes independence, wellbeing and social inclusion.

As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care while assisting clients to participate in daily activities, therapeutic programmes and social engagement in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support.
• Assist clients with personal care where required.
• Support clients to participate in recreational, therapeutic and social activities.
• Encourage independence, dignity and choice.
• Assist with mobility and mealtime support.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high standard of care.
• Adhere to HIQA standards, infection prevention procedures and safeguarding policies.

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Community Care or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full driving licence and own transport.
• Three satisfactory references
• Compassionate, reliable and professional approach to care.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
