A Local Authority is looking for a Qualified Social Worker for their Children and Families team in Greater Manchester area.

This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

This team work with children from the point they are identified as needing support until the point where their needs are no longer met by statutory services.

About the job

• Safeguard children and promote their welfare.


• Assess the needs and risks of children and families.


• Manage Child in Need and Child Protection cases.


• Work directly with children and families to improve outcomes.


• Coordinate support with schools, health services, and other agencies.


• Monitor and review plans to ensure children remain safe and supported.


• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports when required.
  
  

About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in Children's Social Work whilst having an up-to-date understanding of relevant fostering legislation.

This is a growing team with long-term potential to progress into a senior position and beyond when opportunities arise.
