We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned luxury resort in St.
Lucia seeking an experienced Specialty Sous Chef to lead the culinary operations of its signature Italian restaurant.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef with a strong background in authentic Italian cuisine and luxury hospitality to join a dynamic culinary team in one of the Caribbean's premier resort destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the Italian specialty restaurant
- Ensure exceptional quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu offerings
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen team members to maintain luxury hospitality standards
- Assist with menu development, recipe consistency, and seasonal offerings
- Manage inventory, ordering, food cost controls, and waste reduction initiatives
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous Sous Chef experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale Italian restaurant
- Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Proven ability to lead kitchen teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Experience managing food costs, inventory, and kitchen operations
- Hands-on leadership style with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Caribbean or international luxury hospitality experience is considered an advantage
