Sommelier – Luxury Resort

Location: Bermuda
Compensation: Approx.

$70,000 USD (including gratuities)

We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury resort in Bermuda seeking an experienced Sommelier to join its award-winning Food & Beverage team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a wine professional with a passion for exceptional guest service and extensive knowledge of fine wines and beverage pairings within a luxury hospitality environment.

The successful candidate will curate and manage the resort's wine program while delivering memorable dining experiences through expert recommendations, staff training, and exceptional table-side service.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate and manage the resort's wine program and cellar
• Recommend wine pairings and provide exceptional table-side wine service
• Conduct wine tastings and educate guests and team members
• Manage wine inventory, purchasing, and stock control
• Train front-of-house teams on wine knowledge and service standards
• Support restaurant operations during busy service periods
• Ensure the highest standards of hospitality and guest engagement

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sommelier within fine dining, luxury hotels, wine bars, or wineries
• Extensive knowledge of wines, grape varieties, vintages, wine regions, and production methods
• Experience conducting wine tastings and managing wine inventories
• Strong understanding of spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Exceptional communication and guest interaction skills
• WSET or equivalent certification is considered an advantage
• Candidates must hold a valid USA, Canadian, or UK passport/visa to be considered.
