For our client, a restaurant ideally located in the city center of Amsterdam, we are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a restaurant offering upper-scale Mediterranean and modern European cuisine in a sophisticated yet approachable setting.

Currently operating 5 days a week for dinner service it provides high-quality food and service without the formality of fine dining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all kitchen operations and team management
• Develop and refine creative Mediterranean/modern European menus
• Maintain consistent high-quality food standards and presentation
• Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and cost control
• Ensure smooth and efficient dinner service flow
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff

Requirements:

• Proven experience as Head Chef or in a similar leadership role
• Strong background in Mediterranean and modern European cuisine
• Experience managing kitchen teams in upper-scale environments
• Creative menu development skills with attention to detail
• Strong cost control and inventory management abilities
• Ability to maintain quality and consistency in a 50-cover dinner service
