We are recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Registered Care Manager to oversee a well-established retirement living community in Canterbury.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team while ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care, support, and independence.
The Role
As the Registered Care Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered in line with CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
You will lead and motivate your team, manage service performance, maintain compliance, and build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals to create a safe, welcoming, and thriving community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the service, ensuring exceptional standards of care.
- Manage, motivate and develop a dedicated care and support team.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures and quality standards.
- Complete audits, quality assurance checks and action plans to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with internal teams to maximise occupancy and resident satisfaction.
- Manage service budgets and financial performance.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
- Promote independence, wellbeing and an excellent quality of life for all residents.
About You
To be successful, you will be an organised and confident leader with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding care.
Essential
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or at least 75% completed with the ability to finish during probation.
- Previous experience managing a care, housing with care, extra care or similar service.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of care.
Desirable
- Experience within retirement living, extra care or domiciliary care services.
- Budget management experience.
- A proven track record of improving quality and achieving positive inspection outcomes.
