Social Care Worker Wicklow

AA Euro Healthcare is welcoming applications from experienced social care professionals with strong leadership skills.

Our client in Wicklow is recruiting Social Care Workers to support individuals in residential and community-based services.
The successful candidates will deliver person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for service users.

This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with daily living, personal care, and community integration in line with HIQA standards and organisational policies.

Roles & Responsibilities
Provide a high quality of life and a supportive, respectful environment that promotes independence, dignity, and equality
Support individuals with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, meals, and basic healthcare needs
Work collaboratively as part of a team and liaise with colleagues and managers regarding individual care needs
Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities
Support individuals to achieve their Personal Outcome goals through person-centred planning (POMS)
Administer medication in line with company policy
Maintain accurate and up-to-date written and electronic records
Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained living and working environment
Report and record any concerns regarding the safety or wellbeing of service users in line with Trust in Care
Communicate professionally with families, visitors, and relevant stakeholders
Drive company vehicles and support individuals with activities such as swimming and community outings, where required
Follow all organisational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
Be flexible and willing to work across different areas of the service as needs arise

Essential Criteria
QQI Level 7 qualification (or working towards) in Social Care, Social Studies, Applied Social Studies (Disability), Early Childhood Care & Education, or a related discipline or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI)
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and IT skills for accurate record keeping
Full clean driving licence (desirable)
Legal right to work in Ireland without the need for sponsorship
Medication administration training
MAPA, First Aid, Safeguarding, or similar training
Experience supporting community integration and person-centred planning

Requirements:
Registered with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU
OR
Hold a CORU-Approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU Registration (evidence required)
