Chef – Residential Care Setting - Winchester

Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Chef to join a welcoming residential care setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a Chef who takes pride in preparing fresh, nutritious and appetising home-cooked meals while creating a positive dining experience for residents.

You’ll play an important role in supporting residents’ wellbeing through great food, thoughtful menu planning and a caring approach.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, home-cooked meals and snacks
• Catering for a range of dietary requirements
• Working with residents to understand their food preferences
• Creating enjoyable dining experiences
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards
• Taking part in activities such as baking and bread making with residents
• Working as part of a friendly and supportive team

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced and passionate about cooking
• Caring, patient and approachable
• Creative and enthusiastic about food
• Organised with excellent communication skills
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and able to adapt to residents’ individual needs
• In possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
