Provisioning Engineer - DWDM / Ciena 6500
£300 per day | Inside IR35 | Hybrid - London
We are looking for an experienced Provisioning Engineer with strong expertise in optical transmission, DWDM and Ciena 6500 technologies.
Key Responsibilities
, Design and document transmission and packet network solutions.
, Provision, configure and test network elements across optical and L2/L3 technologies.
, Support customer service activation, implementation and network upgrades.
, Manage network capacity, disconnects and capacity reallocation.
, Maintain accurate technical documentation and network records.
, Ensure designs and implementations meet technical and industry standards.
, Troubleshoot and resolve network and provisioning issues.
Key Skills & Experience
, Extensive optical transmission / DWDM experience.
, Strong hands-on Ciena 6500 experience.
, Good knowledge of DWDM, ROADM, Flexgrid and photonic layer technologies.
, Understanding of L2/L3 operator networks, with BGP/MPLS knowledge advantageous.
, Experience with optical test equipment and performance monitoring.
, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
, Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
, Experience with Nokia, ADVA advantageous.
, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia or Ciena certification is a plus.
