Supply Planner
JOB DESCRIPTION
DAP is looking to hire Supply Planner at our Corporate Office in Baltimore, MD.
The primary role of the Supply Planner is to facilitate inventory management and replenishment according to predefined parameters by using data such as sales forecasts, demand plans and marketing projections and to ensure inventory availability on time and on cost.
The Supply Planner will optimize inventory management and fill rate results by working cross functionally across the Supply Chain Organization.
To be successful, the Supply Planner will be required to easily move between detailed analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Supply Planning
- Supply Planner will focus on implementing and assisting in the execution of operational plans.
- Supply Planner can operate under minimal supervision and is trusted to make appropriate decisions for their business unit with the ability to clearly communicate reasons/clarifications for decisions made.
- Manage finished good inventory levels (planned + actuals) at each manufacturing facility / distribution center as well as product availability targets.
- Responsible to ensure planning parameters are defined, respected, and accurately met to assure a high level of customer satisfaction is supported through appropriate inventory stocking that is aligned with sales forecast and capacity.
- Identify possible material shortages against inventory plans and assess alternative sources of replenishment to fulfill orders.
- Coordinate with applicable departments to understand and resolve material shortages, production delays, yield issues and other potential schedule delays.
- Adjust the supply plan based on the outcome and input from cross functional collaboration.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with the internal departments to align on inventory targets, improvement opportunities, action plans, exceptions and tracking key metrics that drive effective business results.
- Collaborate within the Supply Planning Organization to optimize customer fill rate.
- Collaborate with, provide training, and share best practices with cross-functional partners and coworkers.
Process Improvement
- Actively identify process improvement projects and contribute to their execution.
- Support business execution of programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, etc.
- Participate in projects related to Supply Planning, including planning system testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues, document processes, and initiate continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business, or other relevant field required and/or equivalent Supply Chain experience in lieu of degree.
- 3-5 Years of Supply Planning experience, previous production planner experience is a plus.
- Problem solving, process improvement and strong communications skills are required as well as the ability to forge strong relationships with our manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong oral and written skills, organizational and time-management abilities, effective inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Takes the initiative to accomplish objectives and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Experience with SAP S4/Hana and SAP IBP modules.

Pay Range
- 55,000 to 70,000 per year.
