ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER – THIRD PARTY ECOMMERCE

Skopes is a leading menswear retailer.  We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Merchandiser – Third Party Ecommerce, to join our Head Office team in Leeds.

The Assistant Merchandiser – Third Party Ecommerce is a key role in supporting the merchandising team with planning and executing product strategies that align with customer trends and business goals for third party ecommerce channels.

This role is responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and performance monitoring of our product assortments across third-party ecommerce platforms to help optimise sales and customer experience.

Job description

Product Onboarding & Listing Management


  • Coordinate the upload of product data, imagery, and descriptions for third-party platforms.
  • Review & issue pricing architecture to ensure receipt of third-party contracts on time for new season launch.
  • Ensure all listings meet brand standards and retailer requirements.
  • Monitor product launches and troubleshoot listing issues.

Inventory & Order Management


  • Work with merchandising and logistics teams to ensure availability of stock across all platforms.
  • Monitor stock levels and flag low inventory or replenishment needs.
  • Assist in resolving order or fulfilment issues.
  • Plan and select future assortments for all third party ecommerce channels, presenting the range for approval at sign-off meetings.

Performance Reporting & Analysis


  • Support with weekly & monthly sales reporting, executing trade actions for current and future trade.
  • Monitor product performance, visibility, sell-through, and return rates using control trackers, and communicate key findings to inform business actions.
  • Analyse trends to inform future assortments and promotions.

Promotional Support


  • Coordinate promotional calendars and discount schedules with partner platforms.
  • Ensure promotional materials and assets are submitted on time.
  • Track promotional performance and learnings.

Stakeholder Collaboration


  • Liaise with merchandising, buying, marketing, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Build relationships with account managers at third-party platforms.
  • Ensure alignment across departments for smooth execution.

Skills & Qualifications required:


  • 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, eCommerce & retail planning.
  • Familiarity with product setup templates or digital asset management.
  • Experience working with or managing product listings on third-party platforms.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

    Highly Numerate.
  • Strong Excel skills; comfortable working with Microsoft Office and retail systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and customer behaviour.
  • Expertise in planning and ranging.
  • The ability to identify and offer effective solutions to problems.
