Food Technology Teacher (Supply) -  Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk (IP32 6RF)
Start Date: January 2027
Contract Duration: 1 to 2 Terms (Temporary/Supply)
Daily Rate: £140 - £180 per day (depending on experience
Working Hours: 8:20am - 3:45pm
Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (4 days per week)

Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Food Technology Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join a well-supported secondary school in Bury St Edmunds from January 2027 on a temporary basis for one or two terms.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the Food Technology department, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will be the school's sole Food Technology teacher and will be responsible for planning, marking, and supporting students through their GCSE coursework and NEA assessments.
The Role:

- Teach Food Technology across Years 7-13
- Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons
- Plan and mark work in line with school expectations
- Support students completing GCSE Food Technology and NEA assessments
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Faculty, who will provide ongoing support
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour management

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
- Strong understanding of the GCSE Food Technology curriculum
- Experience with planning, marking and NEA assessment processes
- Ability to work independently and manage the department effectively
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
