SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant / 1:1 Support – North London
Salary/Rate: Framework Capped Support Rates (Competitive Daily Take-Home)
Contract: Full-Time, Part-Time, and Term-Time regular placements

About the Role:

Are you passionate about unlocking the potential of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are recruiting dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants across North London to step into 1:1 and small group support roles within mainstream academies and specialised alternative provisions.

Because we operate on the RM6376 framework, schools come to us first when funding for new Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) is approved.

What You Will Do:

- Provide tailored 1:1, behavioural, or sensory support to children with diverse needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, or physical needs).
- Assist the classroom teacher by adapting learning materials to make them accessible.
- Foster an inclusive environment where students feel confident and supported.

Requirements:

- Prior experience supporting children or adults with SEND (mainstream, care, or special school settings).
- Certifications or training like Team-Teach, Makaton, PECS, or ADHD awareness are highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Enhanced DBS check clear for working with children.
