We are recruiting for a Trainee Fire Systems Tester / Technician to join a field-based life safety team covering customer sites across London and the Home Counties.

Full training will be provided, so previous fire industry experience is not required.You will be supported by an experienced engineering team while developing your knowledge of fire safety systems and testing procedures.

This full-time role offers a salary range of £22,000 - £27,000 and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out routine testing of fire, AOV and emergency lighting systems.


* Record testing results and job information accurately using a PDA.


* Provide professional customer service both on site and by telephone.


* Maintain equipment and van stock while working safely and efficiently.


* Work towards operational KPIs and support colleagues as required.


* Perform other duties as required as part of the role.


About You

* Practical, logical and methodical, with an organised approach to your work.


* Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional and presentable manner.


* Able to complete tasks efficiently and accurately, including electronic records and paperwork.


* Comfortable using initiative and thinking practically when dealing with tasks or problems.


* Good knowledge of London and Home Counties postcodes.


* Reliable, punctual and able to work consistently to expected standards.


* Able to support colleagues and lead by example when required.


Relevant backgrounds may include trainee technician, junior technician, engineering trainee, technical assistant or similar roles
