ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER – FINE DINING

Up to £53,000 (inclusive of TRONC)

I’m working with a fantastic fine dining restaurant in London looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join its leadership team.

This is a role for someone who loves being in the middle of service: welcoming guests, supporting the team and making sure everything runs beautifully, even when the restaurant is at its busiest.

You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and General Manager, taking real ownership of the floor and helping to create the kind of experience that brings guests back.

THE ROLE

• Lead shifts from the floor, keeping service smooth, organised and attentive without making it feel scripted.
• Get to know your guests, handle requests with confidence and make sure any issues are resolved thoughtfully.
• Coach the front of house team through service, giving clear direction and helping them build their skills and confidence.
• Support with rotas, recruitment and training, making sure the team is set up properly for each service.
• Work closely with the kitchen and wider management team to keep communication strong and standards consistent.
• Help manage labour, costs and daily reporting, with a clear understanding of how great service supports a successful restaurant.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

• Assistant Restaurant Manager experience within a fine dining restaurant, or a strong senior floor manager ready for that next step.
• A warm, polished approach and the confidence to build genuine relationships with guests.
• Someone who notices the details, stays calm under pressure and knows when to step in and support the team.
• Strong food and wine knowledge, with WSET Level 2 as a minimum.
• A hands-on leader who takes pride in developing people and delivering excellent service every day.
