Harper May is working with a B2B SaaS business backed by growth equity investment.

The company has reached £8m ARR and is scaling its customer base across EMEA.

Founded five years ago and led by its founding team, it recently secured capital to accelerate product development and market expansion.

The finance function has grown with the business, but processes and controls have not kept pace with scale.

The business is now seeking a Finance Manager to build rigour around cash management, transaction processing, and internal reporting.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own day-to-day finance operations and act as the primary point of contact for accounting and compliance matters.

You will manage the close cycle, oversee payables and receivables, and ensure the business maintains clean, timely financial records.

The role bridges operational execution and strategic insight, giving you visibility across funding, investor relations, and board reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting
• Prepare financial statements and management accounts with supporting analysis and commentary
• Oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, and VAT reporting
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, controls, and procedures as the business grows
• Support fundraising and investor reporting with timely, accurate financial data
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisers on audit, compliance, and regulatory matters

What we are looking for

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or significant progress toward qualification
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in finance operations, accounting, or similar roles
• Exposure to technology or subscription businesses preferred, though not essential
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; familiarity with Xero or similar cloud platforms is a plus
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities without supervision
• Clear communicator who can explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
