Mini Bus Driver

Are you a reliable and compassionate driver who enjoys helping others? We have an excellent opportunity for a Driver to join a well-established organisation, providing safe and comfortable transport for adults accessing day care services.

In the Mini Bus Driver role, you will be:

• Safely transporting service users to and from their homes and day care settings
• Collecting and returning service users in a safe, comfortable and respectful manner
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of wheelchairs and other specialist equipment
• Providing a friendly and professional point of contact for service users, parents and carers
• Communicating relevant information regarding service users’ needs and wellbeing to appropriate colleagues
• Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues or defects
• Keeping departmental vehicles clean and well maintained

To be considered for the Mini Bus Driver role, you will need:

• A full UK driving licence with D1 minibus entitlement
• Midas certificate and Driver CPC 
• Previous experience driving minibuses
• A caring, patient and understanding approach when working with vulnerable adults
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise sensitively with service users, parents, carers and colleagues
• An understanding of the needs of vulnerable people

This is a temporary position ongoing for the period of 8 weeks, working 30 hours per week.

The role offers an hourly rate of £12.71 per hour + accrued holiday pay whilst on assignment.
