About the Mechanical Fitter Role
We're looking for an experienced or motivated HGV Assembler to join a busy, modern workshop in Derby.

You'll be working on brand-new vehicle conversions, carrying out a range of mechanical, fabrication and electrical assembly work.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in a workshop, engineering, vehicle or manufacturing environment.

Full training will be provided, along with all tools and equipment required for the role.

The Mechanical Fitter Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling and fitting components as part of the vehicle conversion process.

You'll work from instructions and specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Fitting and installing HGV components


• Chassis assembly and modification


• Welding and fabrication


• Working accurately from technical instructions


• Using hand and power tools


• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety

What We're Looking For
We're open to Mechanical Fitter applicants from a range of practical and trade backgrounds, including:

• Mechanical fitting


• Plant or machinery assembly


• Welding and fabrication


• Vehicle mechanics


• Semi-skilled or skilled engineering


• General workshop or manufacturing environments

• Confidence using hand and power tools


• Good practical and mechanical ability
