We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join an established automotive dealership in Gillingham.

What's particularly attractive about this opportunity is the guaranteed earnings package: for your first three months, you'll earn a minimum of £3,333 per month gross, equivalent to £40,000 per annum.

If your earnings exceed this amount, you'll receive the higher figure.
The position offers a basic salary of £32,429, with an average technician earning £42,500 last year and higher-performing technicians earning an average of £58,000.
The role is full-time, working 45 hours per week, reporting to the Aftersales Manager.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle maintenance, servicing, repairs and diagnostics while helping to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs to a high standard.
- Performing technical diagnostics and identifying faults accurately.
- Meeting and exceeding customer satisfaction and workshop productivity targets.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and completing relevant manufacturer training.
- Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Completing vehicle health checks in line with established processes.
- Working efficiently to support workshop performance and customer expectations.

To be considered for this opportunity, you\'ll ideally have:

- A minimum NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Experience inspecting, servicing and repairing motor vehicles.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high technical and quality standards.
- The ability to work effectively within a busy workshop environment.
- An MOT Tester qualification would be highly advantageous.
- Previous experience working within a franchised dealership would also be beneficial, although candidates from independent garages and other automotive environments are encouraged to apply.
