Chef de Partie - Premium Neighbourhood Gastropub - Islington, North London 50-55k

A Chef de Partie role cooking seasonal, fresh food in a busy Islington gastropub with a menu that changes every two weeks.

This Chef de Partie opportunity is with a long-established, independently run premium gastropub in Islington.

Everything is cooked fresh, the head chef changes the menu every two weeks, and the brigade is small and close, with around three chefs on each service.

The Chef de Partie role

• Run a section as Chef de Partie across lunch, dinner and a busy Sunday of around 400 covers.
• Prep and cook a seasonal menu that changes every two weeks.
• Keep your section organised, clean and ready for service.
• Work closely with the head chef and Sous Chef and help the team hit every service.
• Follow food safety and kitchen standards at all times.

About you

• A Chef de Partie with a European cooking background from a quality restaurant, bistro or gastropub.
• Confident on a busy section and comfortable with high-volume Sunday service.
• Keen to learn and enjoys cooking new dishes every couple of weeks.
• Reliable, organised and a good team player.
• Available to start soon.

The package

• Around 50k, up to 55k for the right Chef de Partie.
  
  Tronc details to be confirmed at interview.
• 48 hours a week over 6 shifts, typically 42-45 hours in practice.
  
  Extra shifts are paid.
• A small, close brigade and a menu that keeps changing.
• Interview process: CV to the head chef, followed by a trial on service.
