THE OPPORTUNITY:

Get Recruited is partnering with an expanding UK broker network to recruit a Senior Commercial Account Handler in Leeds.

You'll take ownership of varied commercial account handling work, with access to regional and London Market insurers.

THE SENIOR COMMERCIAL ACCOUNT HANDLER ROLE:

Drawing on your experience as a Senior Commercial Broker or Senior Insurance Account Handler, you'll:

  Manage renewals across a diverse commercial portfolio, coordinating information, insurer terms and documentation to keep each case moving.

  
  


• 
  

  Handle mid-term adjustments, accurately reflecting changes to clients' risks and insurance requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Support new business administration, ensuring submissions, quotations and supporting records are complete and accurate.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare market submissions with brokers, presenting risk information clearly to help insurers assess each case.

  
  


• 
  

  Obtain and review quotations, negotiating cover and terms with insurers and underwriters.

  
  


• 
  

  Support placement activity across regional and London Markets, helping brokers access suitable options for a wide range of commercial risks.

  
  


• 
  

  Develop insurer relationships that support effective negotiations and a responsive service.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements and company procedures, while managing competing deadlines independently.

  
  

THE PERSON:

• 
  

  Experience as a Senior Commercial Account Handler, Senior Commercial Broker or Senior Insurance Account Handler, with strong technical commercial insurance knowledge.

  
  


• 
  

  Typically eight to ten years' relevant account handling or broking experience.
  
  Applicants with fewer years will be considered where they bring a strong national brokerage background.

  
  


• 
  

  A CII qualification is essential.

  
  


• 
  

  Technically trained and confident taking responsibility for your work independently.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong administration skills and close attention to detail when reviewing submissions, quotations and policy documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Able to organise multiple priorities and communicate clearly with brokers, insurers and clients.
