General Manager, Flagship Site, Central London (Zone 1) £90,000 plus bonus

They are looking for a Senior General Manager from a high-volume, quality venue, bar or restaurant with London experience, this is essential

My client is one of a handful of premium venues offering an exclusive hospitality experience.

They’re a growing operator with several sites and more on the horizon.

They hold themselves to a high standard on food, drink and service, but they’re adamant that guests should enjoy it in a relaxed setting.

This is their flagship: an epic, high-energy Zone 1 venue turning over £9 million+ a year.

It has 120 covers, a lively bar and lounge area and several PDRs that drive a strong events trade.

Food is great, the team is a large team, the location brings huge footfall and passing trade, so there’s a strong focus on wet sales.

You’ll lead a team of around 60 and own every aspect of the business.

This is far more than a GM role.

It’s effectively a mini operations manager position running a multi-million-pound business in its own right.  

The General Manager role:  

As General Manager you’ll take the reins of the company’s most important site.

You’ll stay relentlessly focused on excellent guest experience and consistent, quality food and drink while driving commercial performance across a £9m+ P&L.

My client’s GMs are visible at all times, so a charismatic, “face of the business” style is essential.

You’ll lead a large, multi-layered team through your senior managers.

That means training and developing your people, holding standards tight at high volume, and leading from the front during the busiest trading periods.

With the right General Manager, this flagship will go from strength to strength, and it’s a clear route to an operations role as the business grows.  

The General Manager person:  

My client is all about the customer, so you’ll need a people focus that shows throughout your career.

Big personalities and approachable characters thrive here, and you’ll need a real love for the trade and a passion for great food and drink.

You’ll be commercially sharp and comfortable managing large teams and a significant P&L.

Ideally, you’ll be ready for, or already working at, a step towards multi-site responsibility.

You MUST have London experience in a high-volume business, ideally £5m+ turnover.
