I’m recruiting a Food Development Chef for a luxury events caterer in London.

You’ll create menus, test recipes and lead client tastings.

The Operation

• Luxury event catering and private dining.
• Fine dining, canapés and bowl food.
• High-profile events and VIP clients.
• Client tastings and high-volume food production.

The Role

• Spend 70% of your time on menu development and R&D.
• Create seasonal dishes and new food concepts.
• Test recipes, ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Lead tastings and present dishes to clients.
• Develop recipe specifications and plating standards.
• Manage food costings and consistency.
• Support the kitchen team at live events.

About You

• Experience in Michelin-starred restaurants or premium event catering.
• Strong skills in cooking, presentation and menu development.
• A real interest in ingredients, seasonality and provenance.
• Confident talking about food with clients.
• Able to balance creativity with costs and production.

You don’t need a previous Development Chef job title.

Strong culinary skills and experience creating dishes are what matter.
