Internal Sales & Estimating Engineer

Bradford | £30,000 - £40,000 + Annual Bonus (£10,000 - £12,000)

We are looking for a commercially minded Internal Sales & Estimating Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, preparing quotations, generating new business opportunities, and managing the sales process from enquiry through to order.

You will play a key role in developing customer relationships, producing accurate quotations, identifying upselling opportunities, and helping drive business growth.

• Producing accurate quotations based on customer requirements.


• Reviewing technical specifications, drawings and customer enquiries.


• Obtaining supplier pricing and supporting cost estimates.


• Following up quotations and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline.


• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.


• Developing business from dormant and lapsed accounts.


• Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate.


• Attending customer meetings and industry events when required.

• Previous experience within internal sales, estimating, quotations or a commercial engineering role.


• Comfortable making outbound calls and introducing products and services to potential customers.


• Experience selling a manufactured or engineered product rather than a service.


• Strong commercial awareness and ability to close sales opportunities.


• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.


• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.


• Highly organised with excellent time management skills.


• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.


• Self-motivated, driven and results-focused.

• Engineering or manufacturing background.


• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.


• Estimating or quotation preparation experience within an engineering environment.

• Salary of £30,000 - £40,000
