Love restaurants, good at opening doors and know how to get a deal over the line?

I’m working with a recognised restaurant business looking for a Business Development Manager to join for six months, helping grow its franchise partnerships internationally.

There are several concepts to work with, existing partners to build on and warm leads ready to pick up, alongside finding opportunities of your own.

THE ROLE

• Working closely with the Restaurant Director, you’ll get to know the concepts and take them out to potential partners.
• You’ll build relationships, explore where there’s a good fit and keep things moving from that first conversation through proposals, commercial discussions and signed contracts.
• You’ll have support from Finance, Legal and Operations, but you need to own the follow-up and stay close to the detail.
  
  You should be comfortable looking at a restaurant business plan, asking sensible questions about the numbers and understanding what a partner needs to make an opening work.
• There will be considerable international travel.
  
  You’ll spend time meeting operators and prospective partners, representing the business and bringing the concepts to life.
  
  This needs to be a part of the job you enjoy.

THE PERSON

• You’ll have experience in restaurant franchise development or commercial partnerships, with a track record of helping turn opportunities into agreements.
• You need to understand restaurants, care about the food and guest experience, and speak confidently about what makes a concept work.
• Someone who builds relationships easily, follows through and can represent the brand with warmth and credibility.
• This is a six-month fixed-term contract, so you’ll need to get stuck in quickly and make the time count.
