We are looking for a Marine Engineer to join a well established engineer business in Portland, as a Marine Engineer you will carry out all aspects of marine works on various vessels covering engines, equipment repair, service, installation, warranty and maintenance work.
Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer :
• Repairs, Servicing, Maintenance and Commissioning of marine engines, controls, HVAC & propulsion units
• Workshop and Field based work
• Carry out routine service and repair work on various vessels from pleasure to commercial craft
• Full workshop overhaul and repairs of marine engines to manufacturer’s standards
• Carry out new machinery and equipment installations
• Working on engines from 2hp – 12,000hp on varying engines
• Experience with engine control systems such as Comap, Deepsea etc
Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Engineer:
•Marine Engineer qualifications, or experience
•Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence

Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape, business developments and market trends to identify strategic opportunities and ensure product offering is properly positioned.
Developing strategic plans and innovating roadmaps for key product segments.
Driving new product development activities through Stage-Gate product management and market research.
Ensuring profitability within the assigned market segments, including supporting the product commercialization process.
Define and develop product positioning, messaging, feature specifications, unique selling proposition and pricing strategies.
Travel is approximately 5% annually for customer presentations, trade shows, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus
8+ years of relevant Product Development or Brand experience (consumer packaged goods preferred).
Strong new product development experience required.
Exhibit understanding of the product commercialization process and documentation and information sharing needs and protocols.
Exhibit understanding of retail, independent paint/hardware, and distribution business models.

Duties and responsibilities of the Automotive Engineer / Design Engineer:

Design components including sheet metal, machined, cast, and fabricated parts from concept to production

Maintain accurate drawing records, using PDM systems for issue control
Collaborate with project and senior engineers to deliver optimal design solutions
Liaise with suppliers to manage component sourcing and address obsolescence
Support prototype assessments for correct fit and functionality
Assist with the physical testing of vehicles and systems, including work with Trials Engineers
Select materials based on performance specifications
Participate in and incorporate feedback from design reviews
Conduct vehicle testing using data logging and instrumentation
Support documentation, report writing, and data recording throughout projects

Undertake relevant training as required for the role
Qualifications and requirements for the Automotive Engineer / Design Engineer:
Essential:
Prior experience working in an automotive engineering role
Minimum of HNC in Automotive, Motorsport, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Strong 3D CAD skills (preferably SolidWorks – training can be provided)
Proven ability to produce detailed models and technical drawings
Broad knowledge of automotive systems (practical and theoretical)
Familiarity with drawing control and PDM systems
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
Good documentation, report writing, and presentation skills
Structural analysis using first principles and basic FEA (e.g., ANSYS)
Experience with data logging and instrumentation for vehicle testing
Full UK driving licence – Category B (Category C desirable or willingness to train)

Your role and responsibilities:
You'll be liaising with our MAI Client Deliverables manager, Processing Supervisor, Processing Support Lead and Senior Data Processors while working shoulder to shoulder with all members of the MAI Client Deliverables team, Clients and offshore personnel.
Processing of survey data such as navigation and multibeam echo sounder acquired from Vessel and ROV survey platforms utilising the EIVA processing suite.
Ensuring processed data is suitable for charting, reporting and complies with the scope of work.
Generating survey data products compatible with GIS software.
Constructing survey charts compliant with charting standards.
What you'll need to thrive in this role:
BSC, MSC or equivalent in a relevant survey related discipline;

We are seeking a motivated Inspection Engineer to join our Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) Service Line.

In this role, you will support both onshore and offshore project preparation activities, including the setup of online data recording systems, offline data editing, and quality control for structural and pipeline inspections.
While offshore, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Inspectors, Surveyors, Engineers, Data Processors, and ROV personnel to ensure the effective operation of inspection and survey equipment, and the accurate, efficient collection of data.
You will maintain regular communication with the onboard team and, when necessary, with clients.
You will also work in partnership with the MAI Client Deliverables Team based in Aberdeen, who will provide continuous support throughout the project lifecycle.

Your role and responsibilities:
Ensure the safe, efficient and profitable execution of all ROV platform and vessel-based pipeline and structural inspections.
QC of Inspection data recording, quality control of real-time video data and ensuring that, where required, all data sheets are completed accurately.
Ensure anomalies identified during online and offline inspections are accurately recorded and reported to the Inspection Coordinator, Superintendent/OVM and Client in a timely manner determined by the magnitude of the finding and anomaly criteria.
Assist in project reporting and delivery in accordance with Fugro and client specifications and document control parameters; document any variations to the workscope or procedures and inform the Client Deliverables department.
Promote teamwork at the worksite among all associated parties and ensure good communication lines, especially during shift handovers.
Ensure awareness, understanding and control of all computer operating systems relating to the content of the project or contract.
Ensure inspection equipment calibration procedures are followed and/or undertaken by third parties.
Where necessary, compile and check data from these other sources such as Cathodic
What you'll need to thrive in this role:
Formal qualifications to a minimum of HND level in Engineering or IT.
CSWIP 3.4u or 3.3u.
Offshore experience working with ROVs as an Inspection Engineer and/or Coordinator in UKCS.
MS Office experience.
Good IT skills.
Ability to understand technical engineering drawings.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
