Job Duties: Summary: Co-op/Intern students are treated as coatings chemists in training, with a focus on professional growth and skills development in a teamwork-based environment.
Students work on and learn about a variety of product types from metal to concrete coatings and decorative to high performance systems.
Interaction with chemical suppliers, marketing brand managers, and manufacturing operations is incorporated with increasingly complex projects throughout the co-op career.
They will train cross functionally under the different product platforms.
Typical work assignments include Creating sample batches of paint for formula development, conducting performance testing on lab samples and competitive products, documenting data and interpreting/reporting results and assisting with production support through the scale-up process and batch adjustments.
Required Skills: Current undergraduate student pursuing Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a comparable scientific degree.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Customer Service Representative provides customer service to external customers (distributors, contractors, design teams, and building owners) and internal customers (sales representatives) as it relates to processing product orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to customer calls, emails, and faxed requests.
Handle large volumes of calls, emails, and faxes.
Respond to all aspects of customers' and representatives' inquiries or requests (orders, product information, stock status, pricing, shipping information, samples, etc.)
Accurately key orders into the system.
Check stock availability to confirm orders.
Make special requests such as color matching, special sales order process or (ERP) orders.
Ensure all orders are shipped and invoiced promptly and accurately.
Keep customer and/or sales representatives advised of anticipated ship dates and any delays regarding orders.
Be proactive in communicating changes to orders.
Obtain and continuously enhance a broad knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time and similar data as required relating to the business units being serviced.
Follow ISO required procedures as related to the customer service function.
Troubleshoot issues regarding pricing, tracing, and tracking orders, delivery times, product information and stock availability.
Suggest potential alternatives/solutions to customer concerns.
Supply MSDS upon request and as required.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, managers and personnel in internal departments whose functions directly or indirectly affect the service level to our customers (to aid in providing exceptional customer service).
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume call center environment.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in written form in a professional manner.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
Understanding of Lean Management Principles is an asset.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
SAP Preferred
WORK LOCATION: Hybrid

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field;

A breadth of technical knowledge and a keen interest in learning from others.
Possess innovation skills evident as risk taking, result seeking, and idea integration;
Hands-on bench experience with various chemistries (latex, moisture curing, reactive, etc.) in sealants, adhesives, coatings, repair or related field;

Experience operating lab scale mixing equipment as well as lab scale analytical and testing apparatus.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Senior Construction Accountant (Tremco CPG Inc.) is responsible for the accounting activities associated with the Tremco CPG Inc.'s service businesses that offer comprehensive roofing and general contracting services to building owners and facility managers in the United States and Canada.
Candidates should possess a strong command of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and of provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
This position will oversee processes critical to the business including percentage of completion (POC) and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Additionally, they will coordinate the controls related to the revenue recognition process.
This position must have strong communication, technology, analytical and management skills.
This position will be instrumental in developing enhanced policies, procedures, systems improvements, and will participate in a variety of special financial projects.
This role is a hybrid position (will work partially from home and a few days per week at the Beachwood headquarters) and reporting to the Tremco CPG Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for critical accounting and reporting activities for Tremco CPG Inc.'s service roofing and general contracting businesses, including month-end and annual close.
Ensure timely completion of month-end close procedures to adhere to strict deadlines.
Work alongside construction managers and other operations team members to perform monthly control activities related to percentage of completion revenue recognition.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with construction team members
Prepare monthly reconciliations associated with contract assets and WIP
Collaborate with contract admin team to document processes and enhance control environment.
Review monthly balance sheet and income statement analytics and other procedures as part of the month-end close to ensure transactions have been properly captured.
Perform monthly and quarterly controls within company policies and procedures.
Successfully interfaces with internal audit and external audit resources.
Provide audit requests timely and facilitate completion of the audit on time.The duties above are performed within the guidelines of US GAAP while adhering to corporate procedures, internal/Sarbanes Oxley controls and RPM reporting requirements.
This also includes maintenance of records for the accounting department within government and RPM guidelines.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in accounting for service contracts (e.g., construction contracts, general contracting services, roofing installation services) is required.
Minimum 4+ years in General Accounting or Audit.
Background in a manufacturing environment or general contracting environment a plus.
Knowledge of SAP (FI, CO and PA modules) a plus.
Consolidation software experience, such as OneStream is a plus.
Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: List the licenses, certificates, and registrations that are required to perform the essential duties.
CPA license or progress towards CPA license a plus OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
