As a Junior Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that all site lubrication activities are carried out effectively to support plant reliability and prevent equipment failure.
The role involves following and maintaining lubrication schedules, monitoring oil and grease systems, and working closely with the Reliability Engineer to drive preventative maintenance.
Your role will include:
- Being the owner of the lubrication schedule and being required to work to it as closely as is practical to do so, providing feedback for updates and support and recommending any modifications to it as necessary
- To identify and minimise any oil losses, keeping accurate records of what oils are topped up and where
- As well as the lubrications, it is important to ensure clean lubrication systems, including pump sets, pipework, and tanks, to control contamination and aid quick identification of leaks or problems
- Undertake risk assessments (RA) and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) assessments for engineering work undertaken, and where there is a perceived risk to engineering personnel
- The role requires the competence to lead a team of contractors on planned shutdown days to assist with the completion of the schedules
- To ensure that all automated systems for oil and grease remain topped up with the appropriate lubricant
- To use SAP and other provided reporting tools to report defects, lubrication schedule progress, stock inventory checks and oil consumption records
- Ensure appropriate labelling and documentation control of lubricants used on site.
This
includes labelling of tanks, drums, transport containers and relevant COSHH data
The Ideal Candidate:
- Engineering experience is desirable but not essential (training/development offered)
- An understanding of why preventative maintenance and condition-based monitoring are important
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Team player, but also confident to work individually when necessary

The role as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in East Sussex will be leading the NPI Development team and will be responsible for liaising with the relevant design staff to ensure the overall quality and delivery of new parts, to the highest standards.
You will also work to ensure the proposed design concepts can be manufactured cost-effectively.
You will oversee the prototype build of products in question, prepare relevant documentation and actively participate in PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DFMEs (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
This role will also require you to work with Operations personnel to allow for the optimisation and layout of the assembly areas, as well as the assembly tooling used in the NPI build.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager must have experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.
As Manufacturing Engineering Manager in East Sussex, you will have experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) role within electronics assembly, and/or PCB/cable assembly or electronics box build as well as experienced in the use of ERP/MRP systems (SAP Preferable).
You will also have an Engineering Degree or equivalent and provable experience in a similar position.
Awareness of all types of electronic printed circuit assembly techniques is beneficial.

Providing full plant-wide maintenance support, repairs and technical assistance to ensure production output and efficiency targets are consistently achieved
Carrying out maintenance on a wide range of factory manufacturing machinery and automated equipment
Supporting machine set-ups and changeovers, ensuring compliance with QA standards and maximising efficiency during production transitions
Identifying faults, diagnosing issues and implementing effective and permanent engineering solutions
Requirements for Maintenance Engineer
Experience with industrial machinery, pumps, motors and automation systems
Strong awareness of Health & Safety and safe working practices
Proven ability to fault-find, repair and resolve engineering issues confidently
Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar industrial maintenance role

Engineering Strategy & Leadership

New Product Development (NPD)

Drive efficiency, sustainability, and best practice within development processes
Technical Authority
Provide leadership across advanced electronic and sensor-based technologies including:
Maintain accountability for technical risk, system reliability, and product performance
Balance innovation with practical delivery and commercial impact
Commercial & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support technical feasibility assessments and customer-facing activities
Work closely with sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and executive leadership

Essential

Redline has been retained by a global leader in critical power and power generation solutions who are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding R&D team, based on site in Burton On Trent.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand, our client is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop and optimise electrical systems and control panels for advanced power generation equipment.
Responsibilities for this Senior Electrical Design Engineer role in Burton on Trent:
Translate customer requirements into electrical definitions, specifications and schematics for loadbank systems.
Produce wiring diagrams and schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, selecting components based on standards, availability and cost.
Collaborate with mechanical and systems teams to integrate electrical and mechanical components.
Support key vendors in the manufacture and assembly of products with electrical elements.
Address complex design and manufacturing challenges within the engineering team.
Present and discuss design ideas with suppliers and produce prototypes for testing.
Produce detailed electrical documentation, including layout drawings, calculations and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
