Vehicle Technician Stoke-on-Trent
We are recruiting on behalf of an independent VW, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda specialist based in Stoke-on-Trent, seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team.

Role Overview:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
- Salary: £30,000 £40,000, dependent on experience
- Overtime: Available (note: no bonus scheme)
- Saturdays: Up to 6 per year (only 2 Saturdays worked last year)
- Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays (Christmas/New Year shutdown included within this allowance)

Candidate Requirements:
- Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Minimum of 34 years experience in a similar role
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Confident in diagnostics, servicing, and general mechanical repairs across multiple makes and models
- VAG experience preferred but not essential

Do you have experience working in global payroll, managing payroll across multiple countries and regions? Our client is seeking a Global Payroll Lead to join the team at a leading financial services firm.
In this role, you will play a strategic, hands-on role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of global payroll.
Experience in global payroll (US & APAC) is essential for this role.
This role can be based in Edinburgh or London.
Skills/Experience:
Proven experience in global payroll, managing payroll across multiple countries and regions, APAC & US is essential
Experience working in a global organisation, with financial services experience preferred.
Expertise with HR tools and technology such as Workday and HR analytics tools.
Proven experience with Workday Payroll, particularly for UK payroll operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Core Responsibilities:
Ensure business-as-usual payroll operations, meeting regional pay dates for colleagues.
Engage with stakeholders across geographies to ensure processes, governance, and designs are effective and fit for purpose.
Monitor payroll data standards, KPIs, and SLAs, driving improvements globally and locally.
Contribute to developing and enhancing the controls and risk management framework for global payroll processes.
Ensure compliance with payroll laws and reporting requirements in each deployment country.
Identify and mitigate risks related to payroll deployments, escalating issues when necessary.
Develop and maintain payroll metrics and analytics to provide insights on performance, costs, and trends.
Authorise payroll-related payments and balance sheet funding movements as per approval matrices.
Operate in line with service governance requirements, ensuring adequate documentation for continuous payroll delivery.

Skills/Experience:

Have experience of using a variety of bookkeeping and accounting software packages.
Possess excellent spoken and written communication skills; in particular, be able to explain accounting concepts to both our customers and to the technical team in clear, plain English.

Provide front-line support to our users - mainly by live chat and phone, and take responsibility for consistently responding accurately, promptly and fully in relation to both content and grammar.
Provide training to customers by way of outbound calls, both to people who are currently at free trial stage and to subscribers who request further training.
Help people who are interested in the product but who need more information to decide if it's the right product for them.
Assist with product planning and with testing of new features or upgrades to existing functionality.
Have the skills and confidence to deliver webinars and seminars to customers.
Follow and influence processes and policies and suggest improvements by questioning existing ones and encouraging other team members to do the same.
