Sales Executive - Automotive Aftermarket, UK
Are you an experienced automotive aftermarket professional ready to take on a UK-wide commercial sales role with a globally recognised manufacturer?
Our client, a globally recognised manufacturer supplying passenger car, LCV, truck and bus markets, is seeking an ambitious Sales Executive to help develop and grow key accounts across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aftermarket professional to build their commercial sales career, working closely with an experienced Sales Director and Sales Manager while gaining valuable exposure to key customers, market strategy and business development activities.
This is a field-based role with regular customer interaction.
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + Company Car
Location: Ideally based within the Northwest, including Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, Chester, Crewe or surrounding areas.
What you'll be doing:
Manage and develop a portfolio of distributors and motor factors, ensuring they receive accurate sales information, product updates and commercial support.
Grow sales by strengthening relationships across the motor factor network, buying groups and trading groups, focusing on strategic account development.
Identify and research new opportunities within distribution channels, presenting recommendations to the Sales Manager.
Maintain regular communication with customers and internal teams regarding products, orders, forecasts and commercial updates.
Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, factor branch visits and relevant industry events.
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and category performance to support sales planning and product strategy.
Assist in preparing sales reports, forecasts and customer performance updates using Excel and BI tools (training provided).
Work with the Sales Director to help set customer and market sales plans.
Monitor performance against monthly and quarterly targets, highlighting corrective actions where needed.
What we're looking for:
Strong experience within the automotive aftermarket, ideally working with motor factors, distributors, buying groups or trading groups — including candidates looking to move into a customer-facing commercial role.
A target-driven mindset with the ability to build long-term, commercially effective relationships.
Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment, planning and managing your own customer visits and schedules.
Strong attention to detail and an appreciation for regular reporting and communication with senior management.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with BI tools is beneficial (training available).
Full UK driving licence.

Essential Functions
Responsible for calling on new and existing customers to build sales volume, to remain abreast of customer requirements and to assess market trends.
Calls on customers and prospective customers to inform them of products, new releases, services available, supply, etc.
Provides technical assistance when necessary.
Responsible for securing and renewing orders; works with customer services and sales management to provide servicing levels required by the customer.
Builds and maintains a sales program within the territory based on strategic planning including prospecting, new business development, levels of available business and level of repeat business.
Works effectively with all company personnel and resources to provide full customer service and assure continuing customer satisfaction.
Applies good judgment and prompt follow through on customer complaints, returns, claims or other problems on products / services provided.
Gathers and reports significant developments within accounts, prospects competitors and the general market for use by company management in research, analysis and planning purposes.
Provides annual sales detailing target markets and accounts.
May act as a Field Technical Service Engineer as requested.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical and conceptual design expertise to support the development of new products.
This position will be responsible for determining design approach, theoretical and FEA analysis, preparing CAD drawings, prototyping, testing and verification of the new designs.
This position is onsite at our Burlington Washington Headquarters.

Essential Duties
Responsible for performing mechanical engineering research, design, development, and evaluations to support new product development.
Leverage new research and existing knowledge base into design of new products.
Responsible for designing diverse systems, including custom refrigeration, air quality and structural designs.
Proficient use of SolidWorks to perform design and drafting tasks.
Work in step with internal and external groups to ensure projects are completed on time.
Perform FEA simulations both in Solidworks and Moldex 3D, analyze and interpret information, and disseminate to internal parties.
Formulate and execute testing to validate output meets design requirements.
Liaise with manufacturing and production team on manufacturability of new products.
Design and lead process improvement initiatives within engineering office.
Responsible for continuous improvement and software upgrades.
Lead effort to document engineering techniques, modify and maintain knowledge base.
Foster a respectful environment and culture with colleagues and peers.
Train and mentor new engineers.
Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
Demonstrate ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Knowledge of SolidWorks as an advanced user.

Skilled at providing excellent customer service.

Hiring Range
Between $80,200 - $105,000 annually.
