Legend Brands is hiring a CNC Machinist Assistant for our Prescott AZ location.
Perform all machining operations required to produce finished products from a variety of raw materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, etc.
Job Requirements:
Operate machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery Use calipers or other measuring instruments in order to perform quality control checks on parts in process and upon completion Load parts in machine, cycle machine Detect and report malfunctions in machine operation Run production lots Perform daily maintenance on machinery Communicate with co-workers regarding production runs Maintain safe, organized work environment as well as cleanliness of the equipment Perform necessary tasks and paperwork for the proper movement and control of parts
Qualifications:
Prior CNC Machine operations experience or certification Ability to use tools and machinery Ability to perform inspection of machined parts Computer skills to run CNC programs Self-starter Ability to learn CNC machine programming for basic operation
Hiring Range:
Between $19.00 - $22.50 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

As our Blending Operator you will assure product quality by setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials, such as solvents, resins, pigments, latex, and other chemical additives in a safe, consistent, and efficient manner to ultimately provide paint to the customer. Here's what you can expect every day: Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary. Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections, or by using machinery. Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints before adding them to machines. Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using automated paint mixing equipment. Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as silver and copper solution, rubber, paint, glaze, oil, or rustproofing materials. Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure, and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints. Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons. Record operational data on specified forms. Start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks. Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing/chemical processing environment. Prior paint manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Secure finished packaged items by hand tying, sewing, gluing, stapling, or attaching fastener. Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels. Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material. Clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing.
