The role involves
Check and clean surfaces before applying a variety of sprayed finishes i.e.
gloss, matt, primer and topcoats to components using a hand spray gun ensuring that coatings are applied to the technical specification.
Set and operate oven to the required temperature and durations.
Ensure batch traceability of paint etc. Mask detail components to drawing /specifications using tapes, plastic plugs and bungs as required. After paint spraying unmask components checking paint surfaces for damage or omissions removing all tapes, plugs and bungs with scalpels and probes and touching in any damage as required. Inspection of painted finish by visual and automated techniques.
Measure paint thickness, gloss level to ensure conformance. Operate and maintain equipment and machinery including flushing out pumps and checking settings.Clean and re-line the paint booth and dispose of waste in accordance with procedures. Provide pots of touch up paint / coverings as required.Stock check, maintaining correct stock levels on SAP. Ensure PPE / RPE is maintained and complete periodic checks.
