Teach Plus are currently working with a primary school who are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP to support a child in KS2 with Autism.
The role is a one-to-one position, 5 days per week, 8.30am - 4pm.
The school is a popular community, 2-form entry primary school located in Hanwell, Ealing.
The school in recent years has undergone refurbishment and has a new school building, with new, modern facilities, they also benefit from a large amount of outdoor space for children to learn and play in.
Senior leaders have maintained a good quality of education across the school, and they have embedded a friendly, welcoming environment within the school.
Pupils are excited to come to school and learn and consistently make good progress and achieve well.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:
Follow the class teacher and SENCO's direction in supporting the child both inside and outside the classroom
Follow plans for activities and intervention sessions provided by the class teacher
Support with learning
Ensure the child feels supported and safe by having a warm and nurturing approach
The ideal candidate for the SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:
Have experience working with children with SEND
Ideally you would have experience working with children with Autism
The ability to build rapport with the child and be able to respond to the child's individual needs
Follow direction from the class teacher, SENCO, external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapist

Take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessments
Plan and deliver lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
Plan for continuous provision with enhancements opportunities for our pupils
Use a range of different primary class teacher strategies and resources to support pupils' learning and development, including learning through play, phonics, and early numeracy skills.
Maintain consistent relationships with parents surrounding their academic progression
Attend meetings and INSET days to further support the internal development of the school
The ideal candidate for the Primary Class Teacher role will have:
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
Recent Primary Class Teacher experience within a primary school setting
A strong work ethic who is willing to commit for at least one academic year
UK recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
Right to work in the UK
