The skilled Commercial Roofers will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial roofing systems.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Installation of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.) Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety, demonstrates safe work practices. Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks. The Temporary Operator can work in our Felt Department or in our Roofing Department AT OUR Cleveland Plant.
They start-up, troubleshoot, and operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and routinely while achieving or exceeding standard levels of production, according to specifications.
This position can turn into a regular union position if the employee completes the probationary period, successfully.
During the probationary period, this position will be on 1st Shift.
If the employee successfully completes the probationary period and becomes a regular employee, the position will most likely change to 2nd or 3rd shift, depending on Plant needs.
Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and maintains a prioritized list of assignments from the Technical Resource Manager, the Director, Technical Solutions, and Product Managers.
Assists with coordinating, development and updating of technical documents. Monitors and advises on competitive product information. Develops product line presentations and participates in training meetings for customers and company sales force. Actively participates with Industry organizations where appropriate. Assists the product and technical group with technical support, including assisting with the product group helpdesk.
Visits construction sites to observe, collect, and report application procedures and deficiencies.
Manages the system engineered to assist the sales force with national inquiries.
Assists with the field trails of new products and processes.
Responsibilities will include any and all responsibilities deemed necessary by the Technical Resource Manager and/or Director, Technical Solutions. Generate and/or edit drawing details using AutoCAD or similar software.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 1+ year of related experience required.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency using AutoCAD or similar software program. Willing and able to access commercial building roofs using a ladder.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, sales and marketing staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Willingness to actively participate in a continuing education program.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Consult with Main Lab chemist on products more than 10% out of product specifications Upon approval of product record data onto Quality Control car and enter information into computer data base Consult QC manual for specific requirements for product analysis of production batches and customers special requirements Calibrate QC equipment as required Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
