An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Planner to join a leading contractor delivering major construction projects across the UK.
.
This role is specifically suited to a planner who understands how projects are actually built - not just sequenced.
This position is ideal for planners who can take a federated BIM model, understand interfaces and installation logic, and translate that into a fully coordinated, buildable construction programme.
You'll be working in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment where planning is central to delivery, not a back-office function.
The business places strong emphasis on site engagement, technical understanding, and real programme ownership, offering clear progression into Senior Planner and Planning Manager roles for strong performers.
The Role as a Construction Planner Will Include:
Developing and managing construction programmes directly informed by federated BIM models
Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align programme logic with real installation methodology
Coordinating complex MEP/CSA sequences and interfaces, ensuring programme certainty on a mission-critical project
Identifying programme risks, constraints, and clashes early, and driving practical mitigation strategies
Tracking progress on site, producing accurate reports, and supporting delivery teams to maintain programme integrity
As a Construction Planner, You Will Need:
Experience as a Planner, Senior Planner, or Planning Engineer within construction
Strong background in planning
The ability to build a programme from a BIM model, not just update schedules in P6 or Asta
Experience on large-scale, technically complex projects (£50m+), ideally data centres, industrial, or high-tech facilities
Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject, supported by real construction understanding
Confident communication skills and a delivery-focused mindset

THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Civil / Drainage & Flood Risk Engineer to join my client, a firm of consulting engineers in their Somerset office.
You will join their team working on a good range of drainage and infrastructure schemes for really interesting and challenging projects including heritage sites, private estates, university campuses and more.
You will deal with surface water and foul water drainage strategies, flood risk assessments, attenuation and infiltration systems, technical SuDs designs and drainage calculations to statutory bodies & water companies.
You will have the opportunity of some hybrid working and you will be given support towards becoming chartered with MICE or CIWEM.
My client is seeking someone who already has at least two years or more experience post graduation working with another firm of consulting engineers.

Our client is a successful, expanding firm of consulting engineers doing Civil and Structural Engineering.
They currently have two UK offices.
THE CANDIDATE
You will need to have experience of the following:-
You must have a BSc in Civil Engineering.
You need to have at least two years or more experience as a Civil & Drainage Engineer working for another firm of consulting engineers.
You need to have some experience of SuDS.
You need experience of design and assisting with the design of surface water and foul water drainage systems.
You need some experience of preparing or assisting with Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports.
Some experience of the preparation & submission of applications to statutory bodies & water companies for Section 104/106/185/50 agreements, do Land Drainage Consent applications and FRAP & EA Environmental Permits etc.
You will do site visits and attend meetings with architects, planners, engineers, local authorities etc.
You will ideally be working towards becoming chartered or be keen to do so and my client will give you good support towards chartership.
A U.K.
passport and driving licence is required as you will need to be able to get National Security Vetting CTC / Level 1B clearance.
Salary is negotiable between £30000 and £45000 depending on your level of experience plus pension and benefits.
