We are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Scientist with deep expertise in the Tile & Stone product segment to join our R&D team in the Consumer Product Goods (CPG) sector.
This role focuses on developing and optimizing both interior and exterior tile, stone, and masonry sealers and treatments, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemistry, particularly in the formulation and application of tile & stone products.

Technology Competency:
The R&D Scientist candidate will demonstrate and apply the following skills to their work. Strong understanding of Scientific Methodology.
Hypothesis driven research and problem-solving capability using experimental design, data analysis and documentation. Coating Chemistries: Primary expertise in SB and WB acrylics and sil(ox)anes formulas for use in sealers and protectants on both interior and exterior tile, stone, masonry and concrete surfaces.
Expertise in epoxy, urethane, polyaspartics etc.
valuable Coating Formulation Science: Lead the design, development, and optimization of Tile & Stone sealers, treatments and specialty products for countertops, flooring and other related surfaces. Utilize in-depth knowledge of Tile & Stone sealer market, specifications (TCNA, ANSI, ASTM etc..), and professional end user requirements to develop high-performance products tailored to specific market needs. Apply expert knowledge of organic chemistry and material science to troubleshoot complex formulation issues, enhance product performance, and ensure product stability and safety.
Technical Leadership:
Ability to develop and implement project plans and timelines while managing multiple high level projects.

Seal and apply appropriate labeling to containers as indicated on batch tickets.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Manage technical aspects of product development from formulation, scale-up, final product testing, and commercialization to drive process improvements, troubleshooting, and manufacturing excellence. Continuous development of CSC capabilities (personnel, facility, etc.).

Communicate effectively across departments and with key stakeholders. Establish, communicate, and update quarterly team member responsibilities and goals. Establish collaborative leadership relationships within RPM businesses.

Contribute to the development of profitable platforms across all segments/markets. Develop knowledge and educate staff on analytical chemistry, formulation science, method development, stability, and compliance standards. The role:
You'll work on a wide range of employment matters, supporting clients across multiple sectors with both contentious and non-contentious issues.
Typical work includes advising on complex tribunal claims, senior exits, team moves, business reorganisations, and employee relations.
You'll also play a key role in cross-border projects such as international restructures, global mobility, and workforce transformation.
This is a role for someone who wants to be more than a technical adviser—you'll be expected to think commercially, work closely with client stakeholders, and help deliver strategic solutions that align with business goals.
Key responsibilities
Advising on day-to-day employment matters including performance management, disciplinary issues, grievances, and exits
Acting on high-value and complex Employment Tribunal litigation and High Court matters
Supporting on international and domestic restructures, TUPE, and redundancy exercises
Advising on executive appointments, terminations, bonus disputes, and restrictive covenants
Working alongside corporate colleagues on the employment aspects of transactions
Engaging directly with clients, building long-term relationships as a trusted advisor
Contributing to knowledge sharing and business development initiatives within the team
About you?
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and detail orientated.
You will have:
Qualified solicitor with 2-7 years post qualification experience in employment law
Experience gained within a reputable national or international law firm
Strong understanding of both contentious and non-contentious employment issues
