The Scientist I will perform experiments and generate general test data and analytical data as assigned by senior R&D personnel.

Responsibilities:
Carry out experimental plans for new product development, product modification, or technology development projects as assigned and guided by senior R&D personnel and perform basic analysis of experimental results.
Basic problem-solving skills within defined tasks and procedures.
Demonstrate the ability to operate analytical and material characterization equipment, generate high quality data, and organize the data for further in-depth analysis.
Assist senior R&D Personnel to develop manufacturing procedures for new products and work collaboratively at plant trials with plant engineers and quality control managers.
Learn the principles of DAP Innovation Processes (Innovation Engineering, etc.) and R&D Management Processes.
Adhere to Laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) practices and participate in QMS audits.
Learn principles of laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
Use Product Vision to manage data and projects.
Assist in providing technical support for marketing and sales, and customer support, including conducting product demonstrations for customers, trade shows, Etc.
Adhere to laboratory safety practices and participate in all safety and housekeeping initiatives.
With guidance from senior R&D personnel, assemble information for and generate basic written reports and oral presentations to communicate within R&D and with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field;
A passion for chemistry, science, problem solving, and creativity;
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills;
A breadth of technical knowledge and a keen interest in learning from others.
Possess innovation skills evident as risk taking, result seeking, and idea integration;
Hands-on bench experience with various chemistries (latex, moisture curing, reactive, etc.) in sealants, adhesives, coatings, repair or related field;
Bench chemistry experience and familiarity with various analytical techniques: wet chemistry, titrations, microscopy, rheology, thermal analysis, tensile testing, etc.;
Experience operating lab scale mixing equipment as well as lab scale analytical and testing apparatus.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Senior Construction Accountant (Tremco CPG Inc.) is responsible for the accounting activities associated with the Tremco CPG Inc.'s service businesses that offer comprehensive roofing and general contracting services to building owners and facility managers in the United States and Canada.
Candidates should possess a strong command of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and of provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
This position will oversee processes critical to the business including percentage of completion (POC) and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Additionally, they will coordinate the controls related to the revenue recognition process.
This position must have strong communication, technology, analytical and management skills.
This position will be instrumental in developing enhanced policies, procedures, systems improvements, and will participate in a variety of special financial projects.
This role is a hybrid position (will work partially from home and a few days per week at the Beachwood headquarters) and reporting to the Tremco CPG Inc.
Roofing Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for critical accounting and reporting activities for Tremco CPG Inc.'s service roofing and general contracting businesses, including month-end and annual close.
Ensure timely completion of month-end close procedures to adhere to strict deadlines.
Work alongside construction managers and other operations team members to perform monthly control activities related to percentage of completion revenue recognition.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with construction team members
Prepare monthly reconciliations associated with contract assets and WIP
Collaborate with contract admin team to document processes and enhance control environment.
Review monthly balance sheet and income statement analytics and other procedures as part of the month-end close to ensure transactions have been properly captured.
Perform monthly and quarterly controls within company policies and procedures.
Successfully interfaces with internal audit and external audit resources.
Provide audit requests timely and facilitate completion of the audit on time.The duties above are performed within the guidelines of US GAAP while adhering to corporate procedures, internal/Sarbanes Oxley controls and RPM reporting requirements.
This also includes maintenance of records for the accounting department within government and RPM guidelines.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in accounting for service contracts (e.g., construction contracts, general contracting services, roofing installation services) is required.
Minimum 4+ years in General Accounting or Audit.
Background in a manufacturing environment or general contracting environment a plus.
Knowledge of SAP (FI, CO and PA modules) a plus.
Consolidation software experience, such as OneStream is a plus.
Knowledge of US GAAP is required.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: List the licenses, certificates, and registrations that are required to perform the essential duties.
CPA license or progress towards CPA license a plus OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and US GAAP: Strong understanding and application required.

Previous experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification, exceptional Qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will be considered.
Strong experience preparing monthly Management Accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and Month-End reporting
Experience supporting statutory accounts, VAT Returns, and the external audit process
Advanced MS Excel and experience of using an ERP System, any exposure to PowerBI would be advantageous
Commercially minded with the ability to analyse financial performance and provide meaningful business insight
Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the business
Experience within a multi-entity or group environment would be advantageous

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Lake Charles, LA to lead and oversee the warehouse including but not limited to the shipping of our finished products to our customers and inventory for our chemical manufacturing facility.
We are seeking individuals with strong leadership to ensure the quality of our products, safety of the facility and coordination of all plant production in order to reach the best possible performance targets.
This individual will be responsible for manufacturing at acceptably efficient levels, meeting production schedules, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, maintaining employee morale and discipline, and keeping overtime at a minimum.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree preferred, 1 year direct Supervisory or Management experience.
Certification to provide training in all forms of hazardous material transportation.
Must either have forklift certification or have ability to pass forklift certification test.
Must be physically and medically capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job as prescribed under OSHA standards based on exposure and manufacture recommendation for each specific location.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance manuals and safety rules.
Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and trainings.
Job Duties:

Maintain proper housekeeping procedures to provide a safe working environment.
Takes an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by enforcing all safety rules & regulations.
Notifies Management of any accidents and/or injuries and completes required reporting through proper investigation per Carboline policy.
Responsible for inventory integrity through cycle counts.
Responsible for coordinating export orders with corporate transportation for on time shipments.
Participate in and work on special projects as directed by Management.
Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner.
Manage cycle counting and physical inventory procedures including variance control.
Coordinate with shipping on the movement of finished goods to the distribution center.
Control activities related to generation of replenishment orders to all outside warehouse locations.
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, box cutters and tape dispensers.
